Sassafras is an Amazon parrot who has lived with us for many years. When we were trying to think of a descriptive name for our soap business, she asked us to name it after her. And she definitely IS Sassy. (She's also the vainest creature we know, so it's only fitting.)
First, there is the old adage, "You get what you pay for". Secondly, the "soap" that you buy in grocery stores is often made from rendered slaughterhouse byproducts (look for sodium tallowate on the label) or worse, petroleum products. Most likely, the label won't even have the word "soap" on it. The law won't let them, if it's not the real thing.
Our products are made from pure, food grade ingredients. You could eat them, if they weren't already made into soap. Afterwards, they probably wouldn't taste very good!
Your skin is the largest organ in your body. Everything that goes on your skin is absorbed into your system.
Why not spend a few extra pennies a day and really pamper yourself? Get rid of detergent residue on your skin.
